Originally from Southern California, Ms. Debbie enrolled in UCLA's Extension Courses in Early Childhood Education in 1992 and found that she truly enjoyed learning about how a child develops; cognitively, physically, emotionally and socially. Debbie's experience in California included the privilege of participating in the National Association of Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation process and teaching preschool for 13 years. Prior to joining the staff at Sunnyside, Debbie taught preschool and supervised a full day program locally for the past 5 years while taking courses to complete her Child Development Associates (CDA).
Debbie and her husband reside in Snohomish, have 4 adult children, and are grandparents as well.
