Ms. Betsy graduated from Western Washington University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, majoring in Liberal Studies and completing a minor in German. While attending Western, she taught at Western Washington University Child Development Center for over two years working with children ages 2-5. Betsy's love for the outdoors and children came together during the summer of 1998 where she was a camp counselor at Camp Fire's Camp Killoqua in Stanwood, WA. After Graduation she taught 3rd and 4th grade for the Highline School District for four years until she and her husband started their family which now includes their two young sons. Betsy's interests include traveling to Europe, reading historical fiction and Rick Steve's travel books, sewing and spending time with her family partaking in outdoor activities.
